The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer having knowledge of complex system design with excellent problem solving skills. DAAS is a nascent initiative and you’ll have the opportunity to affect its direction. You’ll take the lead in bringing in new ideas, testing and validating them quickly and independently, and incorporating them while socializing them with the team.\n\nWhat You'll do:\nDesign, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Node.js frameworks like NestJS.\nBuild scalable systems using event streaming technologies like Kafka\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement new features and functionalities for the platform.\nRefactor and improve existing codebases to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.\nDevelop and implement RESTful APIs adhering to best practices and design patterns.\nWork with cutting-edge cloud technologies.\nSolving interesting and challenging problems alongside a great team of engineers.\nDeveloping new skills as you push your knowledge, and our technology, to new levels.\nWhat you bring:\nMasters in Computer Science and 2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer with a focus on Java and Node.js or 4+ years of experience and Bachelors in Computer Science.\nExperience with SQL Server and/or MongoDB - writing efficient queries, designing schemas, and ensuring data security.\nFamiliarity with designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web APIs.\nExperience using Jira for sprint planning and tracking tasks/bugs.\nProficient with modern IDEs such as VS Code for day-to-day development.\nFamiliarity with software development best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and unit testing.\nExceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.\nPassion for developing software and continuous improvement.\nStrong desire to seek pragmatic, innovative solutions to complex business and technical problems.\nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams including customer support, product, and engineering.\nDemonstrable contributions to open-source projects.\nExperience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS and GCP, including deploying, monitoring, and scaling applications.\nVirtualization and orchestration of applications (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS).\nExperience building microservices architectures.\nActual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, qualifications, skills, experience and/or training.
