As a Software Engineer III on the Integrations team, you will contribute to backend services that power reliable, real-time data sync across millions of records, using Node.js, NestJS, Kafka, and modern API standards. You will work alongside senior engineers and tech leads who will mentor you as you deepen your expertise in distributed systems and grow toward broader ownership.\n\nWhat You'll do: \nBuild backend integration services and features using Node.js (NestJS), with guidance from senior engineers\nImplement connectivity, data ingestion, and export logic between ZoomInfo's data layer and third-party platforms\nDevelop reliable job execution patterns, including retries and basic state management, within larger orchestrated workflows\nCreate and maintain APIs and internal services that integrate with external systems, following established patterns\nAdd logging, metrics, and tracing so your services are observable and easy to troubleshoot\nWrite clean, tested code and take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback\nOwn small-to-medium features end to end, partnering with product and platform teams to clarify integration use cases\nTroubleshoot production issues and contribute incremental reliability improvements, escalating when scope exceeds your ownership\nWhat you bring:\nMust-Have\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience\n5+ years of software engineering experience, with a growing focus on backend systems\nWorking experience with Node.js\nFamiliarity with REST API design, including request/response patterns, status codes, and error handling\nStrong communication skills and comfort collaborating with technical and non-technical partners\nPreferred\nExposure to NestJS or Java (Spring Boot)\nExperience integrating with external APIs or CRM/MAP platforms\nUnderstanding of authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth 2.0, JWT)\nExposure to NoSQL or relational databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL)\nInterest in distributed systems concepts such as queues, event-driven patterns, and eventual consistency\nThe US base salary range for this position is $XXX,XXX - $XXX,XXX + variable compensation + benefits.\nActual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, qualifications, skills, experience and/or training.
