We build internal tools first and adopt them ourselves, so the feedback loop is short: if something is annoying, we feel it the same day. Current projects cover the model router, the desktop coding client, the developer installer and CLI, and Slack and Linear automations. We keep a running log of experiments and their results, and we prefer small, reversible steps over big launches.\n\nResponsibilities: \nMaintain and improve the team's projects: the internal model router (Go), the desktop coding client and its CLI (TypeScript, Node, Electron), the developer installer and update service, and the repo-aware Slack and Linear bot.\nRun the router day to day: add models and providers, keep authentication and quotas working, attribute usage and cost per team, and maintain the numbers that show whether routing decisions actually pay off.\nEvaluate new models, coding agents, and developer tools continuously. Write short, concrete notes on what works, what it costs, and what we should adopt or skip.\nBuild automations that other teams feel: Slack and Linear bots, GitHub apps, webhooks, and small services that remove repeated work.\nWork with non-engineering teams, for example, operations, support, sales, finance, and people teams, to find repetitive work and build AI-native workflows for it.\nHelp teams across the organization adopt AI-native ways of working: onboard people, collect friction, and turn it into fixes, documentation, and features.\nDrive ZOOP's AI-native journey with numbers: define the metrics that show how AI is used across the organization (adoption, time saved, cost, quality), track them, share them, and improve them over time.\nRun regular hands-on sessions that upskill teams across the company: how to use AI tools well, safely, and within budget, and how to spot work worth automating.\nOwn the unglamorous parts: secrets handling, budgets, dependencies, releases, and uptime.\nGrow the team: help interview, onboard, and mentor. The plan is one or two hires in your first year, and you will have a real say in who and how.\n\nFirst 30 days: \nYour own machine is fully on the toolkit, and you are doing your daily work through it.\nYou have shipped your first small fixes across the team's projects.\nYou understand the router's role, its costs, and who depends on it.\nYou have written your first experiment note: what you tried and what you found.\nYou have met a few non-engineering teams and know where their most repetitive work is.\n\nBy 60 days: \nYou own one project end-to-end, such as a router capability or a stage of the Slack and Linear bot.\nAt least one automation you built is in use by people outside the team, ideally including a non-engineering team.\nNew models and tools are being evaluated on a schedule rather than by accident, with results the team can act on.\nA first version of the organization's AI-native metrics is tracked and shared, and you have run your first upskilling session.\n\nBy 90 days: \nYou are coordinating with two or three teams on adoption, with at least one outside engineering, and adoption is measurable: usage, cost, or hours saved.\nYou are reviewing others' code and designs, and the experiments log has a rhythm you own.\nYou are helping interview for the team's first hires.\nUpskilling sessions run on a regular cadence, with a simple way to see whether attendees use the tools afterwards.\n\nAt 1 year: \nYou lead a small team of two or three, and the hiring you drove has landed well.\nAI-native workflows are in daily use across engineering and in several non-engineering teams, with real numbers to show for it: hours saved, spent controlled, and agents trusted with real work.\nThere is a documented evaluation loop for new models and tools, and other teams come to you before picking one.\nThe innovation pipeline has a cadence: try, measure, adopt or drop, and tell everyone what happened.\nThe organization's AI-native metrics have improved over the year, you report them regularly, and teams across the company have been upskilled through your sessions.\n\nRequirements: \n5 to 8 years of professional software engineering experience.\nYou use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor daily, and you have formed opinions about how to get real work done with them.\nYou have built applications on LLM APIs and know the practical side: model routing, evaluation, prompt and tool design, and cost control.\nStrong TypeScript/Node and Go.\nYou have built automations and integrations: Slack apps, Linear or similar trackers, GitHub apps, webhooks, and internal workflow automation.\n\nNice-to-haves: \nNone of these are required. If you have them, tell us.\nYou have operated an LLM gateway or proxy in production: auth, quotas, per-team accounting, and failover between providers.\nYou have shipped or maintained an Electron desktop app or a developer CLI that engineers install themselves.\nYou have run structured evaluations of models or agents, not just informal spot checks.\nYou have run workshops or training sessions and enjoy teaching people outside engineering.\nYou have automated workflows for non-engineering teams, or tracked adoption metrics for a tool rollout.\nSkills\nCLI, Electron, GitHub, Go, LLM, LLM API, Node.js, Slack, TypeScript, Webhooks","description_format":"text","description_chars":5361,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Identity Management"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-11-03T11:35:00Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":4,"expected_fill_days":29,"reasons":["seen:4","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-11-08T05:47:12Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/zoop-senior-ai-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/zoop-senior-ai-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-08T07:19:04Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":15915,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-09T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":417},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=417"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fzoop-senior-ai-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fzoop-senior-ai-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fzoop-senior-ai-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/zoop-senior-ai-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fzoop-senior-ai-engineer"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3677554}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"quagga.in","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3677554},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
