As a Systems Integration Engineer for the Manufacturing Test and Diagnostics Engineering team, you will be part of the team that designs, develops, and executes systems and processes related to ECU and vehicle bringup, validation, testing, and troubleshooting. You will help build the next-generation infrastructure and process for testing electrical components, including hardware and firmware, on the Zoox vehicles in Manufacturing.\nIn this role, you will:\nDesign, develop, integrate, deploy, and support test solutions at the robotaxi platform's manufacturing end-of-line (EOL).\nBuild test solutions relying on Python (or other higher-level programming language) knowledge and experience with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, ETH).\nBuild intuitive user interfaces using development skills such as React, Tkinter, or others that interface with middleware over API, TCP/UDP, Pub-Sub protocols, or other services.\nServe as the first line of defense for all electrical and functional issues during testing and other EOL processes, including but not limited to software/firmware, harness, networking (CAN, LIN, Automotive and Standard Ethernet, GMSL, etc.), hardware, and infrastructure issues.\nWork closely with multidisciplinary engineers to collect and interpret the component and vehicle-level requirements and translate them into scalable system-level validation test scripts and test cases to be performed during the vehicle integration process.\nDesign and implement novel test solutions for future manufacturing lines and next-generation diagnostic architectures to support higher-volume production.\nDocument test solution hardware requirements and software requirements, along with necessary troubleshooting specifications and preventative maintenance.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in a relevant area such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science\n4+ years of experience with hardware and software test integration via high-level programming languages such as Python\nExperience with network protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Automotive Ethernet, I2C, SPI, etc.) and building intuitive user interfaces via React or something similar \nStrong background in Linux and shell (bash) scripting and experience with Github or similar tools for software management\nFundamental understanding of mechanical systems, sensors, and actuators as well as ECU communication\nBonus Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in a relevant area such as Computer Science or Engineering\nServer design and full interface development (API, TCP/UDP, MQTT, Redis, other “pub-sub” communication, etc.)\nBackground in creating, reading, and writing to tables in SQL database\nNetworking layer management skills via IP assignments, VLANs, MAC
