We strive to change the game because we believe communication access is a right worthy of utmost respect and because every conversation matters.\nWe are experiencing tremendous growth and are looking to add strong expertise to our world-class teams!\nSummary of Duties:\nWorking closely with the Senior Director of Operations, Interpreter Recruiting Manager and Call Center Management, the interpreter recruiter will determine staffing needs of Call Centers and onsite customers and will be fully involved in the screening, interviewing, and hiring of all interpreters.\nInterpreter Recruiter Job Responsibilities:\nCommunicating with applicants in all phases of the hiring process for all open positions\nMaintaining a database of interpreter contacts and status notes using the applicable software.\nTracking and documenting interpreter applications throughout the hiring process\nContacting potential interpreters who have not previously submitted applications (i.e. cold contacts) in specific locations in order to staff call center and remote locations\nTraveling to trade shows and conventions for recruitment may be required occasionally\nPlanning and executing recruiting events and initiatives\nGiving oral presentations on sites, trade shows, and recruiting events to further recruiting potential.\nWork a variety of schedules, including weekends as dictated by business needs\nPerforming other related duties and/or special projects as required\nInterpreter Recruiter Skills/Qualifications:\n3 years working as a professional sign language interpreter in a variety of settings (5 years preferred).\nPossesses a strong understanding of Deaf Culture.\nDemonstrated people management and communication skills\nAble to work independently as well as in a team environment\nKnowledge of HR hiring practices.\nProficient writing and reporting skills.\nProficient oral presentation skills.\nExperience with Windows, XP Operating Systems and MS Office.\nExperience working in a video relay call center as an interpreter, preferred.\nWork environment:\nEmployees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time.\nSitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)\nKeyboarding (40-60%)\nViewing computer monitor, videophone, and cell phone (40-60%)\nLifting computers and other equipment.\nPosition may require some travel.\nDisclaimer:\nThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
