This reports directly to the Director, Specialist Sales Engineers, Data Security. In this role you’ll partner closely with sales teams to shape and win strategic opportunities. You will translate complex customer requirements into compelling solutions, lead hands-on evaluations, and guide prospects to successful outcomes.\nWhat You’ll Do\nCreate and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers.\nGather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions align to goals and needs.\nLead product evaluations and custom product configurations.\nDesign evaluation test plans with customers and guide the process to successful outcomes.\nWho You Are (Success Profile)\nYou act like an owner - biased for action, accountable, and able to flex from strategy to hands-on execution.\nYou are a high-trust collaborator - candid, respectful, and ambitious for the team, not just yourself.\nYou are driven by innovation - curious, energized by complex technical challenges, and always seeking better, more secure, scalable ways.\nYou are resilient and adaptable - steady under pressure and effective through change.\nYou lead with integrity - doing the right thing, holding high standards, and building trust through transparency.\nWhat We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)\nDemonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving\nBSCS or equivalent with extensive experience as an SE or systems integrator, 5+ years of Pre-Sales experience, including 3+ years selling security/networking solutions in direct or high-touch environments.\nExperience with data protection and web-related technologies.\nExperience in a matrix role working with the broader GTM team to promote, sell, and support the Data Security business line.\nExperience in Commercial/high velocity segment\nWhat Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)\nExperience with Zscaler (or competitive solutions) in the Data Protection market.\nUnderstanding of SaaS technologies and regulatory compliance for the geography.\nSuccess working in a matrix environment, teaming with a broader GTM and partner ecosystem.\nDemonstrate strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, solution design, automation, and customer problem-solving, while applying sound technical judgment to validate outputs.\n#LI_Remote\n#LI_AA5\nZscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level.
