This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited about innovative, large-scale hardware development.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies.\nCreate 3D-printed prototypes to support iterative design and testing.\nDirect and coordinate manufacturing and field installation or retrofit activities.\nAnalyze technical issues and implement timely, cost-effective solutions.\nGenerate engineering documents including drawings, manuals, and other technical deliverables.\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams.\nInterface directly with customers and suppliers to define mechanical requirements.\nSupport time-sensitive development initiatives alongside systems and development engineering teams.\nContribute to strategic initiatives for process, quality, and cost improvements.\nQualifications and Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design.\nFamiliarity with materials including metals, alloys, and plastics.\nExperience designing for high-volume manufacturing (e.g., stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, die-cutting).\nProficiency with Creo is highly preferred; experience with other 3D CAD systems will be considered.\nSkilled in DFM, DFA, and statistical tolerance analysis.\nExperience with structural FEA (e.g., Creo Simulate) is a plus.\nKnowledge of computer hardware industry is desirable.\nAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nStrong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills.\nCompensation and Benefits\nBase Salary Range: Based on location, years of direct experience, skills, education, and certifications\n Comprehensive Total Rewards Package:Performance-based bonus opportunities\n401(k) with generous company match\nPaid time off and holidays\nTuition reimbursement\nWellness programs and employee resources\n\nCommitment to Diversity\nZT Systems is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives.
