In addition, the position will include providing technical leadership and guidance to internal Engineering, Management, and Business Teams.\n What You Will Do\nDevelopslong-term hyperscale server technology strategies based on technical and business footprint of the customer.\n\nDrives internal and external integration of system level engineering strategy.\n\nDevelops long-term technical relationships with the core technology ecosystem. The relationshipsshould create a technical interface, driving customer requirements into next generation designs.\n\nIdentifiesand develops differentiation opportunities and drives thought leadership discussions among engineering, customers, business, and management.\n\nWork directly with customers on concept and development of custom hyperscale server and rack designs.\n\nDeterminehow to solve performance/operational problems and deliver business value through ZT hardware.\n\nSystem Architecture - Server design\n\nExperience in developing server product architectures and carrying through to production.\n\nExperience with server motherboard design\n\nExperience with server chassis layout optimization\n\nExperience with rack-level and data-center design implementation\n\nSystem Architecture - Power design\n\nAC/DC power converter design, System/Rack power budgetingand debug experience\n\nRack and Data Center Level power infrastructure experience\n\nSW/FW Architecture - UEFI FW, BMC FW, OS/Drivers\n\nExperience coding for AMI and/or OpenBMCbased BMC FW\n\nExperience with DMTF Redfish\n\nExperience coding for UEFI FW (BIOS)\n\nExperience with industry security protocols, Root of Trust, and design for security\n\nExperience with Operating Systems and Driver design/usage\n\nCompetencies\nInnovates and develops intellectual property.\n\nExcellent communication, social, commercial and negotiation skills.\n\nLeadership of feasibility studies of system level concepts.\n\nAuthor technical papers, present at industry forums and participatein industry consortiums.\n\nDrive prototyping or proof of concepts of new technologies.\n\nWhat You Bring\nBS in Electrical, CS, or Mechanical Engineering and 12 + years of direct industry experience (alternatively MS and 10+ years)\n\nExperience with high-speed design, signal integrity issues, power distribution techniquesand x86/ARM/GPU platform architectures.\n\nExperience with implementation of high-speed serial buses and Fabrics (SAS/SATA, PCIe, InfiniBand, FibreChannel, Ethernet, etc.), high speed Memory Busses (DDR4/DDR5, HBM), and Processor/Accelerator Cache Coherent Links (CXL).\n\nKnowledge of server & rack architecture, system level design, board level designand overall server management.\n\nStrong knowledge of the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) functionality, telemetry, and design for Security/RoT.\n\nExperience with new product development life cycle and driving cross-functional development efforts from concept to planning to development.\n\nDemonstrated ability to create detailed architecture specifications and drive business cases for new products and features.\n\nStrong understanding of network technologies and datacenter network topologies.\n\nOptional: Working knowledge of server operating systems including Windows Server and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, SUSE).\n\nOptional: Experience with Server Virtualization Solutions (VMware, Citrixor Hyper-V).\n\nOptional: Knowledge of software driver implementation, IP schemasand network protocols.\n\nDemonstrated ability to discover, learn, and apply new technologies.\n\nZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $148,125 and $246,875 per year. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.\nBase salary is just one component of ZT Systems total rewards philosophy.
