This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across global teams.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead the mechanical engineering team in the development of server and rack-level systems from concept through production.\nDirect system architecture, design reviews, prototyping, validation, and implementation.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, firmware, and manufacturing to ensure cohesive product development.\nEngage directly with customers and suppliers to gather requirements and deliver tailored mechanical solutions.\nBalance cost, performance, quality, and schedule across multiple concurrent projects.\nProvide technical mentorship and career development for engineering staff.\nDrive innovation in mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; Master’s degree preferred.\n15+ years of experience in mechanical and structural design, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.\n5+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex electro-mechanical systems.\nDeep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, especially in data center environments.\nExpertise in thermal management, structural design, vibration control, and high-volume manufacturing techniques (e.g., sheet metal, injection molding).\nStrong grasp of the interplay between mechanical, electrical, thermal, power, firmware, and networking systems.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.\nProficiency in CAD tools (Pro-E/Creo, AutoCAD), FEA, and thermal simulation tools (Flotherm, Ansys preferred).\nAbility to work independently and report progress effectively in a fast-paced environment.\n#LI-PW #LI-Onsite #ZTSANENG2025!\nAbout ZT Systems\nAt ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, you’ll get to do work you are proud of alongside smart, passionate people.
