This is where data, AI and cloud engineering directly shape how we protect our customers every day. In this team you will:\nTurn complex business questions from Claims, Pricing and UW into robust data and AI products.\nWork with high-impact use cases: from smarter pricing models and straight-through underwriting to faster, fairer claims decisions.\nSee your work in action: what you build goes into production, supports real decisions, and improves our customers’ experience in a measurable way.\nCollaborate closely with actuaries, data scientists, product owners and business SMEs - you won’t be “just coding in a corner”, you’ll be co-creating solutions that change how we do insurance.\nAnd you might be thinking: This sounds great, but what will my day-to-day look like at TDC?\nAs a Senior Data Engineer you will have the opportunity to:\nDesign and build end -to -end Data and AI solutions: Architect scalable, secure and observable data pipelines and services, from ingestion to production, following modern SDLC best practices.\nOwn data processing at scale in the cloud: Implement high-performance ETL/ELT in AWS or Azure, leveraging Spark / Databricks (batch and real-time) with a strong focus on data quality, lineage and reliability.\n Industrialise ML & AI with solid MLOps and CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.) for data platforms and ML products, enabling automated testing, deployment and monitoring across environments.\nDevelop and operate cloud -native microservices: Design and implement microservices and APIs that expose data and AI capabilities, deployed in secure, resilient cloud environments.\nDefine MLOps industrialisation strategies: Shape how we productionise models: versioning, feature stores, monitoring, drift detection, and model lifecycle management, in close collaboration with Data Science and Architecture teams.\nBridge business and technology: Translate Claims, Pricing and UW requirements into robust technical architectures, influencing design decisions and ensuring our solutions are both feasible and valuable.\nBuild AI - powered products with LLMs: Design and implement AI products based on LLMs, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic workflows that augment how our business teams work.\nWhat Makes You a great Fit?\nWhile we’re not seeking perfection or expecting you to save the world, we believe that if you meet some of these requirements, you’ll be a fantastic fit for our team. We are waiting for you!\n Core technologies: Advanced Python, Databricks, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes or similar, Git or similar, LLMs, Spark, Azure DevOps or Jenkins\nPython: 5-10 years building production-grade data and backend solutions.\n\nCloud Engineering: 5 years on AWS or Azure, preferably in data-intensive environments.\n\nDatabricks: 5-10 years experienced in working with this Cloud based data and AI platform\n\nCI/CD & DevOps: 5 years designing multi-cloud pipelines and automated deployments (infrastructure, data and ML).\n\nMicroservices:5 years designing, implementing and operating distributed services and APIs.\n\nAgentic AI / LLMs: 2 years integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, AI agents or MCP-based services into real applications.\n\nBackend Engineering: 2 years building and operating APIs and end-to-end backend services.\n\nNice to have: Previous experience in insurance, financial services or other highly regulated industries.
