You'll work on the websites and internal tools that support our global brands. And we're only getting started.\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING\nYou're currently studying, or have recently graduated, in UX/UI, interaction design, digital design or a similar design-led tertiary programme\nA portfolio that shows how you think: your process, the problem you were solving, and what you'd do differently, not just the finished screens\nGood working knowledge of Figma (components, auto layout, prototyping). Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus\nAn understanding of UX fundamentals, including user flows, information architecture, wireframing, usability and accessibility (WCAG)\nA strong eye for visual design, especially layout, typography, colour and hierarchy\nClear communication skills, including the ability to explain your design decisions and take on feedback\nThe ability to work on your own and as part of a team, and to follow direction from design leads\nStrong attention to detail, tidy and well-organised files, and good time management\nA problem-solving mindset and curiosity about how people actually use products\nAn added advantage: a basic understanding of HTML/CSS, experience with design systems, motion or micro-interaction design, or experience using AI tools in your design workflow\nROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nUI Design: Help the team design interfaces across a range of projects, including:\n- Brand websites, landing pages and campaign microsites\n- Responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop\n- Internal tools and dashboards\n- Digital assets such as web banners, or email templates\n- Presentations and design documentation in Figma\n- Other tasks management may assign from time to time\nUX & Research: Help map user journeys, build sitemaps and wireframes, review competitors, and run or support simple usability tests\nPrototyping: Build interactive prototypes in Figma to test ideas and present concepts to stakeholders\nDesign Systems: Work within existing component libraries and UI kits, and help maintain and extend them to keep things consistent across brands\nConceptualisation: Brainstorm and develop design ideas with the team, and explore several directions before refining one\nDeveloper Handoff: Prepare clean, well-annotated files, specs and assets so the developers can build what was designed\nCollaboration: Work with developers, marketers, content creators and brand teams to understand requirements and deliver designs that meet business goals\nAccessibility & Quality: Design with accessibility in mind, and check builds against designs to make sure the quality holds up\nFile Management: Keep Figma files, pages and assets organised and well named so the whole team can find what they need\nFeedback Incorporation: Be open to feedback, iterate quickly, and keep improving your designs based on critique and user insight\nTime Management: Manage several projects and deadlines at once, understand briefs clearly, and deliver work on time\nResearch & Trends: Keep up with UX/UI trends, emerging patterns, tools and AI-assisted workflows, and bring new ideas to the team\nWho thrives at ZURU\nThis isn't a 9-to-5.
