On the Connected Products team, we build Zwift hardware and own the end-to-end software to ensure that Zwifters can easily and reliably connect their peripherals to the Zwift Game. This includes connecting Zwift peripherals (Zwift Play, Zwift Ride, Zwift Hub, Zwift Click) or third-party peripherals (trainer, power sensor, cadence sensor, heart rate monitor, etc). You will dive deep into our Zwift Companion App mobile code base and as well as our cross platform game code and you’ll work closely with engineers across partner teams to define and deliver on an iterative technical strategy for how we achieve our team vision - Zwift just works, all the time, for everyone.\nWhile this is a flexible/in office as needed position, we’re looking for candidates who are within commuting distance of our London office (London Bridge area) to facilitate semi-regular in-person connections with other “Watopians” (a.k.a., Zwift employees) in the London area.\nWe place a high value on flexibility, transparency, and fun while supporting our team to do their best work.\nWhat you’ll do: \nDesign, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code across Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, programming languages\nPartner with other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and pair programming\nPartner with product and engineering leadership, advising them on the capabilities and constraints of systems and approaches. You’ll push your team, peers, and leadership to take action and solve challenging problems. \nTake part in your team’s technical planning\nWhat we’re looking for:\n5+ years of experience as a Mobile Engineer\nWorking knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C \nProficiency in Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform, and experience contributing to a shared Native + KMP solution.\nFamiliarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services\nStrong knowledge of mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices\nTrack record of facilitating effective collaboration among cross-functional partners, involving others in making decisions on behalf of the group\nDemonstrated ability to make technical trade-offs considering both long-term and short-term impact.\nBonus points:\nExpertise specifically with mobile-native Bluetooth SDKs.\nExperience with Android Open Source Project. \nExperience with backend services development.\nKnowledge of gRPC and Protobuf.\nWorking knowledge of C++.\nPassionate about the fitness, wellness or gaming space.\nExperience working with geographically distributed teams\n\nIf Zwift determines in any stage of our interviews that any AI tools are being used without disclosure or citation, your candidacy will be disqualified.\nHow to stand out among the rest:\nYour resume/CV is enough to show off your skills, accomplishments, and experience.
