Product Manager - POS Solutions

A leading organization is seeking a commercially driven POS industry professional to grow its POS solutions business through direct customer acquisition and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the commercial performance of the POS product, developing and executing plans to achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
• Generate and convert direct sales opportunities across restaurants, cafés, retail and hospitality businesses.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and product demonstrations to solution proposals, negotiations and deal closure.
• Establish and grow partnerships with POS hardware providers, distributors, resellers and other industry stakeholders to generate referrals and joint sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain an active sales pipeline through industry contacts, customer visits, networking and partner engagement.
• Understand customer operations and purchasing requirements to position suitable software and hardware solutions with support from internal teams.
• Analyse competitor products, pricing, customer demand and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
• Recommend product improvements, solution packages, pricing strategies and target markets based on customer feedback and commercial potential
• Maintain strong customer and partner relationships to support repeat business, referrals and additional sales.
• Provide management with sales forecasts, performance updates, market findings and recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in the POS industry, with a successful track record in POS sales, business development, c channel sales or commercial product management.
• Demonstrated ability to independently generate business opportunities, negotiate commercial terms and close sales.
• Strong knowledge of POS software, hardware and their application in business operations.
• Experience with restaurant POS solutions and an understanding of restaurant workflows will be an advantage.
• Experience in establishing and managing relationships with POS hardware providers, distributors or resellers.
• An established customer base or professional network within the POS industry will be an advantage.
• Ability to assess market opportunities and translate customer needs into practical commercial recommendations.
• Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong proficiency in English and Sinhala Tamil proficiency will be an added advantage.
• A self-driven, commercially focused approach with accountability for results.
