You will work closely with product designers, backend engineers, and the broader product team to ship features that matter.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nReact — Web: \nBuild and maintain responsive, performant web application UIs using React and TypeScript — following component-driven architecture and design system standards.\nManage application state effectively using Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query, or Context API — choosing the right tool for the right problem.\nImplement pixel-perfect UI from design specs (Figma) with close attention to spacing, typography, colour, and interaction states.\nOptimise web performance: code splitting, lazy loading, memoisation, bundle size reduction, and Core Web Vitals improvement.\nWrite unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library; maintain high coverage on critical user flows.\nEnsure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) across all web interfaces.\n\nReact Native — \nBuild and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript.\nShare business logic, hooks, and utility code across React web and React Native mobile codebases — maximising reuse without compromising platform-specific UX.\nImplement native device integrations: push notifications, deep linking, camera, biometrics, geolocation, and local storage using React Native libraries or native modules.\nOptimise mobile app performance: FlatList rendering, animation smoothness (React Native Reanimated), startup time, and memory footprint.\nManage app releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store — including build configuration, code signing, and OTA updates via Expo or CodePush.\nDebug platform-specific issues on both iOS and Android using Flipper, Xcode Instruments, or Android Studio Profiler.\n\nDesign Systems and Shared Architecture: \nBuild and maintain a shared component library that works across React web and React Native mobile — using tools like Storybook for documentation and visual testing.\nDefine and enforce frontend coding standards, naming conventions, and folder structure across both platforms.\nCollaborate with product designers to evolve the design system — contributing to token definitions, component specs, and interaction guidelines.\nSet up and maintain frontend CI/CD pipelines — automated testing, linting, build checks, and deployment workflows for both web and mobile.\n\nCollaboration and Quality: \nWork closely with product managers and designers to refine requirements, flag technical constraints early, and contribute to UX decisions.\nConduct and receive thorough code reviews — focused on correctness, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.\nCollaborate with backend engineers on API contracts, GraphQL schemas, and data-fetching patterns.\nParticipate in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives — contributing to team velocity and a high-quality delivery culture.\n\nRequirements: \n3-5 years of frontend development experience with React in production web applications.\nHands-on production experience with React Native for iOS and Android — you've shipped an app to the App Store or Google Play.\nStrong TypeScript proficiency across both React and React Native codebases.\nSolid understanding of React fundamentals: hooks, context, lifecycle, reconciliation, and performance optimisation patterns.\nExperience with state management libraries — Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query, or equivalent.\nProficiency working from Figma designs — translating mockups into production-ready components with precision.\nFamiliarity with REST APIs and GraphQL — consuming endpoints, handling loading/error states, and caching data effectively.\nExperience with Git, pull request workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExperience with Expo — managed or bare workflow — for React Native development and OTA updates.\nFamiliarity with React Native Reanimated and Gesture Handler for fluid, native-feeling animations and interactions.\nKnowledge of micro-frontend architecture or monorepo setups (Nx, Turborepo) for sharing code across web and mobile.\nExperience with Storybook for component documentation and visual regression testing.\nUnderstanding of app performance profiling on both iOS (Instruments) and Android (Android Studio Profiler).\nExposure to WebSockets or real-time data rendering in a React or React Native context.\nFamiliarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and mobile accessibility (VoiceOver, TalkBack).\n\nTechnical Skills Snapshot: \nWeb: React, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit / Zustand / React Query, CSS-in-JS.\nMobile: React Native, Expo, React Native Reanimated, Gesture Handler.\nShared: TypeScript, shared hooks/utils, Storybook, monorepo (Nx / Turborepo).\nTesting: Jest, React Testing Library, Detox (E2E mobile), Storybook.\nDesign: Figma, design tokens, component libraries, WCAG accessibility.\nDevOps: Git, GitHub Actions, Fastlane, CodePush / EAS Update, App Store / Play Store.\nAPIs: REST, GraphQL (Apollo / TanStack Query), WebSocket.\n\nKey Competencies: \nPlatform empathy — you understand that web and mobile are different experiences, and you design for each without sacrificing shared code efficiency.\nPerformance obsession — slow renders and janky animations are personal affronts;
