OQC, or Oxford Quantum Circuits, is a quantum computing company headquartered at Thames Valley Science Park near Reading that builds superconducting quantum computers based on its patented Coaxmon architecture and dual-rail Dimon qubit, offered as a cloud service and deployed in commercial data centres. Founded in 2017 by Peter Leek from his University of Oxford research group, it has delivered three generations of systems, has sites in London, Tokyo, New York and Spain, and closed a Series C round of about 260 million pounds. It hires quantum, hardware, FPGA and embedded software engineers, algorithm researchers, cleanroom and nanofabrication technicians and finance and operations staff.
