The job board that checks its own listings
What Alion is
Alion is a job platform for technology, engineering and AI. It is not a place employers post to and forget: the listings are read from the employers' own applicant tracking systems, career pages and public feeds, and each one is re-checked against the page it came from until the employer takes it down. A posting whose source stops listing it is closed here too.
Every role is published with the things a person actually decides on - which company is hiring, where the work is done, what the stack is, what it pays, whether a visa or relocation is on the table, and how long the role has been open. Where an employer states no salary, a calibrated estimate is shown and labelled as one.
Where we stand today
| Measure | Now | What it counts |
|---|---|---|
| Live roles | 775,040 | Open postings read from an employer's own publication |
| Added this week | 111,984 | Roles first seen in the last seven days |
| Employers hiring | 53,269 | Companies with at least one live role |
| Re-checked within 48h | 96% | Share of ATS-sourced roles whose board was refetched in the last two days |
| Average stated pay | $137k | Mean of the salaries employers state, USD per year |
| Technologies indexed | 3,549 | Tools, frameworks and languages the postings are matched against |
These are counted from the database as it is at the moment this page is served, not from a press release. How each one is produced is written up in the methodology.
Why we built it
The people who built Alion went through the same hiring market as everyone else: applications into a void, listings that had been filled months earlier, aggregators re-publishing each other, and the same role appearing under four different agencies. Two things follow from that, and they are the whole product.
- A listing is only worth showing while it is real. So the source is re-read rather than trusted, closings are recorded, and a posting that sits open far longer than that employer usually takes to fill a role is flagged rather than quietly left in the list.
- A candidate should see the decision-making facts before applying. So the pay, the stack, the location rules, the visa position and the company behind the role are on the page, not behind a signup.
How we make money
Searching, filtering and applying are free for candidates, with no account required to read a role. Employers post for free. Paid plans cover the parts that cost us real compute - more daily matches, AI-tailored resumes, AI screening and access to the talent database - and are listed on the pricing page. We do not sell candidate profiles, and we do not charge employers to have their openings listed.
For machines as well as people
The same data is available to software: an MCP server and a REST API serve live postings and company hiring records to agents and applications. Anonymous calls need no signup. See developers for the endpoints and data for the datasets and sample files.
Who runs it
Alion was founded in 2026 and is operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, by a small engineering team; the founder is Dmitrii Maslennikov. Data-protection documents are published in full: the privacy policy, the record of processing activities, the legitimate interest assessment, the impact assessment summary, and a self-service data subject request form.
