Overview
AltaGas is a North American energy infrastructure company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, running a Utilities business and a Midstream business moving gas and gas liquids from producers to homes, businesses and export markets. Its utilities include Washington Gas and WGL Energy around Washington, DC and SEMCO Energy in Michigan, while its midstream assets include the Ridley Island export terminals near Prince Rupert, the Ferndale terminal in Washington State and gas processing plants in Alberta and British Columbia; it employs about 3,000 people. It hires millwrights, electricians, engineers, project controls and finance staff, co-op students and truck drivers.
