American Burn Association

The American Burn Association (ABA) is a nonprofit professional association based in Chicago that brings together burn care clinicians, researchers and burn centers. Active since 1967, it sets care standards, runs the burn center verification program, supports fellowship training, research, prevention and rehabilitation, holds an annual meeting and advocates on burn care policy. Its members include surgeons, nurses, therapists and other burn care professionals, and it runs a national registry that collects burn care quality and outcome data.
