Bitstamp is one of the oldest continuously operating digital asset exchanges, founded in 2011 and licensed in Luxembourg. It provides spot trading, custody and institutional connectivity to European and international clients under long-standing payment institution authorisation. The exchange was acquired by the American brokerage Robinhood, which uses it to expand its regulated presence outside the United States.
