Overview
Black Semiconductor is a German deep-tech company headquartered in Aachen that develops integrated graphene photonics, a technology that places high-speed optical links directly onto electronic chips to speed up chip-to-chip communication. Founded in 2020, the company is building its own FabONE production facility, whose construction began in 2026 with Exyte as the builder, and also has a presence in Berlin. It hires process integration, layout, analog and RF IC design, photonics, packaging and reliability engineers, SoC and hardware architects, technicians and group accounting and finance staff.
