Overview
The Boring Company is an American tunnel construction and infrastructure company headquartered in Bastrop, Texas, that designs and manufactures the Prufrock tunnel boring machine and builds transportation, utility and freight tunnels. Founded by Elon Musk in 2017 as a SpaceX subsidiary and spun off in 2018, it operates the Vegas Loop in Las Vegas and is developing further Loop projects, including the Music City Loop in Nashville and work in Dubai. It hires mechanical, electrical, geotechnical and fire life safety engineers, construction project managers, electrical supervisors, Loop facilities technicians, CDL drivers, operations coordinators, recruiters and HR staff.
