Overview
The Cardano Foundation is an independent Swiss organisation based in Zug that was set up in 2016 to steward the Cardano blockchain. It works on standards, governance, integrations and regulatory engagement, and supports adoption of the network by enterprises and public institutions. The foundation is one of three entities behind Cardano, working alongside the protocol engineering firm Input Output and the commercial arm Emurgo.
