CMC Microsystems is a Canadian not-for-profit organisation based in Kingston, Ontario that gives universities and companies access to microsystems and semiconductor design tools, fabrication, prototyping and testing services. Founded in 1983, it lowers the cost and complexity of adopting technologies such as microelectronics, photonics, the Internet of Things, AI and quantum hardware by creating and sharing platform technologies across a national research network. It hires engineers, research and technical staff, and program, partnership and operations roles to run its design-tool licensing, fabrication access and training services.
