Overview
Cornell Cooperative Extension is the public outreach system of Cornell University, headquartered in Ithaca, New York, that brings university research to communities through programs in agriculture, food and nutrition, 4-H youth development, the environment and community development. It works through county-based extension associations that serve every county of New York State and New York City, funded by federal, state and county governments together with Cornell. The associations hire extension educators, program coordinators, 4-H and summer camp staff, nutrition educators, agricultural and horticulture specialists and administrative staff, many in seasonal and part-time roles.
