Overview
De Havilland Aircraft of Canada is a Canadian aircraft manufacturer headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, that builds and supports the Dash 8 regional turboprop, the Twin Otter utility aircraft and the DHC-515 firefighting amphibian. It traces its history to 1928, when the British de Havilland company set up a Canadian subsidiary, and it is now controlled by Longview Aviation Capital, part of the Westerkirk group, with sites in Calgary, Victoria, Mississauga and Wroclaw. It hires aircraft maintenance and avionics technicians, structural technicians, flight test and design engineers, quality inspectors, buyers, document controllers and project managers.
