Overview
East Mining Company, known in Russia as VGK, is a coal mining company producing thermal coal on Sakhalin Island, with its operating base in Shakhtyorsk, a regional office in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and a corporate office in Moscow. It runs a full cycle of extraction, processing and shipment of coal, has also developed mining in the Magadan region, and exports mainly to Asia-Pacific markets such as China, Japan and South Korea using a large fleet of BelAZ and Komatsu haul trucks. It recruits mining haul truck and loader drivers, maintenance staff, lawyers, economists, information security specialists, 1C developers and AI engineers.
