Featurespace is a Cambridge company founded in 2008 out of university research on adaptive behavioural analytics. Its ARIC platform scores payments in real time to detect fraud and money laundering by learning each customer's normal behaviour rather than relying on fixed rules. Used by major banks and payment processors, it was acquired by Visa in 2025.
