GAC Group, or Guangzhou Automobile Group, is a large state-controlled Chinese carmaker and the first in the country listed on both the A-share and H-share markets. Established in 2005 from a predecessor dating to 1997, it also develops energy storage systems and battery remanufacturing and hires electrical design and battery engineers. The company is headquartered in Guangzhou, China.
