Overview
GM Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of General Motors, based in Detroit. It invests in startups developing automotive and mobility technologies, including electrification, battery and charging technology, autonomous driving, connected vehicle software and advanced manufacturing. The unit was launched in 2010 and gives portfolio companies access to General Motors engineering, manufacturing and commercial expertise.
