High-Flyer is a Hangzhou-based quantitative hedge fund manager that became one of the largest quant investment firms in China. It runs AI-driven systematic equity strategies for Chinese markets and built its own deep learning computing clusters, known as Fire-Flyer, to train trading models at scale. The firm was founded in 2015 by Liang Wenfeng and fellow Zhejiang University alumni, and in 2023 it spun out the artificial intelligence lab DeepSeek.
