MetaX is a Shanghai chip designer founded in 2020 that develops general-purpose GPUs for artificial intelligence training, inference and graphics. Its C-series accelerators target data centre machine learning workloads with a proprietary software stack for CUDA-style programming. The company was founded by former AMD graphics engineers and is one of China's leading domestic GPU efforts.
