Overview
Navantia UK is a British shipbuilding, ship repair and fabrication company serving the defence, maritime and energy sectors, operating the historic Harland & Wolff yards in Belfast, Appledore, Methil and Arnish. Established in 2022 as a subsidiary of Navantia SA, the Spanish state-owned naval shipbuilder, it acquired Harland & Wolff in January 2025, employs more than 1,200 people and is prime contractor for the Fleet Solid Support ships of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. It hires welders, platers, electricians and maintenance fitters alongside design, electrical and project engineers, supply chain, procurement, commercial, finance and HSE staff.
