Sakanotochu

Sakanotochu (On-the-Slope) is a Japanese social venture that produces and markets pesticide- and chemical fertilizer-free agricultural products under the vision of "Farming for the Next 100 Years." It specializes in supporting new entrant farmers—approximately 80% of its partners—by aggregating limited and variable volumes and guaranteeing fair pricing to help them access markets and adopt environmentally sustainable practices. The company also operates the "Uminomukou Coffee" project in Southeast Asia to raise coffee quality while promoting forest conservation and increasing local incomes for farming communities.
