Overview
Opower is a utility customer engagement software business owned by Oracle, providing electric, gas and water utilities with home energy reports, digital self-service, bill analysis and behavioural energy efficiency programmes. Founded in 2007 as Positive Energy in Arlington, Virginia, it grew into a cloud platform used by more than 100 utilities worldwide before Oracle acquired it in 2016 and folded it into its energy and water industry unit. As part of Oracle, its hiring runs through Oracle recruitment, with openings for product managers, software and platform engineers, cloud migration engineers, data center technicians, support engineers and technology sales directors.
