Overview
Quantum Space is a US space infrastructure company based in Rockville, Maryland, that is developing spacecraft to operate in the region between Earth orbit and the Moon, starting with its Ranger maneuverable spacecraft. Founded in 2021 by Kam Ghaffarian, a co-founder of Intuitive Machines, Axiom Space and X-energy, it aims to provide transport, observation and data services beyond geostationary orbit for government and commercial customers. It hires spacecraft systems, propulsion, avionics, flight software, guidance and mechanical engineers as well as integration technicians and business development staff.
