Overview
Rosebel Gold Mines is a gold mining company in Suriname with its head office in Paramaribo, operating the Rosebel and Saramacca mining areas in the Brokopondo and Sipaliwini districts about 80 kilometres south of the capital. Established in 2002 and owned in turn by Cambior and IAMGOLD, it has been a subsidiary of the Chinese group Zijin Mining since February 2023 and produced about 5.65 million ounces of gold between 2004 and 2021. It hires mine, reliability, ground control and plant engineers, surveyors, mill planners, finance and compliance specialists, HSE and training managers, ICT technicians and interns.
