Overview
SSAB is a Swedish steel company headquartered in Stockholm that makes advanced high-strength steels, quenched and tempered steels, strip, plate and tubular products sold under brands such as Strenx, Hardox and Docol. Formed in 1978 and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and Helsinki, it runs mills in Luleå, Borlänge and Oxelösund in Sweden, Raahe and Hämeenlinna in Finland and Mobile and Montpelier in the US, and is moving to fossil-free steelmaking through the HYBRIT venture. It hires production operators, electricians, maintenance technicians, process and metallurgical engineers and sales staff across its mills and service centres.
