Overview
Stratolaunch is an American aerospace and defense company headquartered in Mojave, California, that provides reusable hypersonic flight testing, using its Roc carrier aircraft to air-launch autonomous Talon-A testbeds that fly at Mach 5 and above. Founded in 2011 by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and acquired by Cerberus Capital Management in 2019, it also develops expendable hypersonic targets and weapon subsystems for government and commercial customers, with offices in Arlington, Virginia and West Lafayette, Indiana. It hires flight test, GNC, flight software, propulsion, manufacturing and systems test engineers, technicians, program managers and finance analysts.
