Overview
The Learning Lamp is a nonprofit education organization based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, that provides tutoring, preschool, child care, after school programs and summer camps for families, plus substitute teacher staffing, specialized classrooms and homebound instruction for schools. Founded in 2003 by educational psychologist Lorraine Nulton, it reports serving more than 28,000 youth and adults from 51 school districts, and its school services now operate as Ignite Education Solutions. It hires preschool, toddler and PreK lead teachers, child care supervisors, substitute and long-term substitute teachers, special education and art teachers and student support specialists.
