Associate Engineer - Information Security

Key Responsibilities

Perform vulnerability scans on servers, endpoints, network devices, and applications.

Analyze vulnerability scan results and assist in identifying security risks.

Coordinate with internal teams for remediation and patching activities.

Conduct rescans to validate vulnerability fixes and closures.

Prepare and maintain vulnerability assessment reports and dashboards.

Monitor security advisories, CVEs, and emerging threats.

Support security audits, compliance activities, and documentation.

Maintain records of vulnerabilities, remediation timelines, and risk status.

Follow organizational security policies and best practices.

Required Skills

Basic understanding of Vulnerability Assessment and Vulnerability Management concepts.

Hands-on exposure to tools such as Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, or OpenVAS.

Knowledge of Network Security, Operating Systems, and Web Security basics.

Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerabilities.

Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.

Basic knowledge of patch management and security hardening.

Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to SIEM/SOC environments is an added advantage.

Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash preferred.
