3PL Production Planner

Job Description:

• Manages end-to-end supply chain planning and product flow to meet customer and business requirements.

• Manage materials planning and purchasing, manufacturing planning, inventory and capacity management, and supply chain optimization across manufacturing and distribution locations.

• Analyses supply chain performance and develops solutions to improve customer service, inventory investment, capacity utilization and operational efficiency.

• Supports the implementation of planning tools and IT solutions.

• Partners with business unit to identify opportunities, influence supply chain strategy and deliver measurable business results.

• Leads planning projects, promotes supply chain best practices, and provides training and guidance in planning and optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and manufacturing plans based on customer demand, forecasts and capacity requirements.

• Monitor and optimize material flow, inventory buffers, replenishment parameters and production schedules.

• Analyse short- and mid-term capacity, equipment loading and resource requirements.

• Monitor and report key supply chain metrics including customer service, inventory, cycle time, forecast accuracy and schedule attainment.

• Lead supply chain analysis, including inventory/buffer management, material flow, capacity planning, distribution and information flow.

• Conduct what-if analysis and develop short- and long-term solutions to address supply chain constraints and service issues.

• Identify and support IT and planning system requirements and improvements.

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Production/Operations Management, Materials Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.

• 5-9 years of relevant supply chain, materials or production planning experience.

• APICS certification required or to be completed within an agreed timeframe.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and resolve complex planning and supply chain issues.

• Advanced knowledge of supply chain management concepts, planning and optimization.

• Strong communication, planning, coordination and project leadership skills.

• Ability to work effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at different levels.

• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
