ASIA Filling, Packout & Assy Sr. Engineer (3PM)

Job Description:

The Third-Party Manufacturers Engineer role is responsible for ensuring business continuity and providing technical support to suppliers to maintain product and process quality, service, and cost performance in alignment with 3M requirements. The role also leads savings initiatives while overseeing supplier modernization efforts.

• NPIs: Lead the supplier engagement step (scale up to launch). High workload thru whole NPIs different phases.
• CMPs: Lead low risk CMP. Heavy involvement in high riskCMPs. (leaders accountable; engineers responsible for driving the workload with suppliers)
• Manufacture onboarding (incl. new supplier assessment)
• Day to day operation
• Daily follow personal EHS request and Business conduct
• Make sure supplier comply with GFS requirement and corporate audit guideline
• Supplier EHS and process audit execution and improvement
• Fixed assets & materials waste disposal management
• PKG STD/ Product Spec discussion & deliver to supplier on-time
• Provide new material data for BOMs for SAP/create new BOMs for legacy BOMs
• Provide input to SKU creation
• Support/lead capital projects
• Customer complaint/DPPM improvement
• Supplier capacity and reliability improvement
• Ensure to follow up CMP process for the changes in 3M as well as supplier site
• For SAP only - PLANNING ACTIVITIES
• Troubleshoot all the plants’ system transactional process in ECC, EWM, SNC and FIORI.
• To train Subcon PIC on how to troubleshoot errors that are within their capabilities.
• IBD, OBD, PO Errors encountered by the subcon plant in ECC and EWM.
• Running the Message Queues in EWM and FIORI.
• Reporting Errors encountered by the subcon plant in SNC and FIORI.
• Implement Fixes and collaborate with IT Support
• Drive improvement
• Subcon supplier lead time reduction
• Key raw materials yield continue improvement
• Execute PPU activities
• COPQ(Yield/Wastage/Scrap etc.) reduction
• CI activities for BG COGS reduction, IPSsaving
• Key Product unit cost improvement
• 3PM fee deep dive and improvement
• Quality improvement, footprint
• Technological advancement to improve cost, quality, reliability
• Implement the appropriate level of supplier performance management working together with other functions

Requirements：

• Knowledge of 3PM process and daily operation & 5 years+ of relevant experience of 3PM operation
• Project management & communication skill to lead intercompany requirement with global team/local team and suppliers.
• Vendor management knowledge
• Financial & Statistics Knowledge
• VSM & CI knowledge
• Education/ technologist (edu. Vs. YOE)
