The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Global Digital Asset Operations Coordinator has a significant impact by ensuring 3M’s digital assets are managed consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with global business standards. By coordinating projects, connecting stakeholders across regions and functions, and supporting governance practices, this role helps improve asset quality, metadata accuracy, publishing readiness, and operational visibility. This enables faster content delivery, better reuse of approved assets, reduced duplication of work, stronger compliance with digital asset standards, and improved collaboration among marketing, product, creative, IT, and business teams. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Manage and coordinate global digital asset projects from intake through completion, including request workflows, timelines, dependencies, image planning meetings, stakeholder coordination, and alignment with the Global Digital Asset Services Supervisor and GMSS PCO priorities. Ensure timely, high-quality delivery by prioritizing concurrent requests, tracking milestones, resolving risks or delivery issues, escalating concerns when needed, and supporting downstream requirements such as channel syndication.
• Enable stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration by serving as a key coordination point between Digital Asset Services, Business Groups, Product Content teams, Digital Compliance, IT, studio operations, photographers, and other partners to address asset needs, resolve issues, support improvements, and align service requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable digital asset work by converting stakeholder requirements into clear work items, including user stories, business requirements, acceptance criteria, IT backlog inputs, sprint planning support, and enhancement priorities for DAM systems and workflows.
• Support governance, standards, and asset lifecycle management by reinforcing global DAM processes, metadata standards, taxonomy practices, product photography standards, documentation, audits, archival support, data quality checks, and ongoing repository maintenance in alignment with the Global Digital Asset Services Supervisor.
• Track and analyze operational metrics, stakeholder feedback, and workflow data using Workfront, Power BI, and Excel to support service performance reporting, informed decision-making, workload visibility, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)-based digital asset management and production workflows by ensuring assets are complete, compliant, searchable, correctly linked to PIM systems, and aligned with Workfront workflows for efficient storage, publishing, and downstream use. Coordinate global photography and digital asset production activities by managing requests, product movement, shoot status, quality reviews, and timely delivery of publication-ready assets.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required, with 4-7 years of overall experience and hands-on expertise in Digital Asset Management systems, preferably Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar platforms.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading and supporting digital asset, digitization, and operational projects from intake through completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery while applying Lean methodologies and process optimization practices to improve efficiency, workflows, and overall service performance.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives across global and regional business teams, aligning with leadership, stakeholders, vendors, studio partners, photographers, and service providers.
• Proven experience managing workflows and deliverables, including request intake, timelines, dependencies, milestones, stakeholder expectations, channel syndication, and downstream digital asset distribution processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, reporting, data validation, and managing large datasets for business decisions and KPI tracking.
• Excellent change management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt quickly, pivot as priorities shift, respond effectively to changes in business needs, systems, workflows, or processes, and support teams through new system implementations while maintaining operational continuity and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong digital asset management and operational coordination experience, including managing digital asset workflows, projects, and programs across cross-functional teams, with experience in metadata governance, digital standards, asset lifecycle management, quality control, reporting tools, and Workfront requests, projects, templates, or programs.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Creative, DAM, and PIM system experience: Experience with Adobe Photoshop, including typesetting, masking, clipping paths, layers, groups, color theory, and layout, along with knowledge of P360 or similar PIM systems and DAM-PIM interoperability.
• Photography, syndication, and marketing technology support: Experience coordinating commercial photography workflows, supporting photography studio operations, channel syndication, eCommerce, SEO, analytics, or marketing technology initiatives.
• Program leadership and process improvement: Proven ability to support large applications, global programs, and process improvement initiatives, with knowledge of change management, GMSS best practices, 3M business structure, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
