Product Support Engineer (R&D Center)

As a Product Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing application support across Home Care portfolio, including product claims, demos, competitive benchmarking, technical training, and key account/marketing initiatives with application excellence
• Identifying and translating unmet needs, consumer insights, and product performance into consumer-relevant selling points, product improvements, and growth opportunities
• Supporting new product launches and providing product maintenance support, including product modifications, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to support commercialization readiness and business priorities

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who have the following qualifications:

• Master’s degree or above in Engineering or Science, such as Material, Textile/Nonwoven, Polymer, Chemistry, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in application engineering, product support, technical service or related roles
• Demonstrated ability to provide strong application and product support through customer-focused technical support, problem solving, structured testing, and practical solution development
• Proven ability to support new product launches, product modifications, and product maintenance, and to translate consumer, customer, and business needs into practical technical solutions
• Strong collaboration, communication, and project execution skills, with the ability to work effectively across customers, business teams, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and global technical teams
• Experience in consumer products, home care, or related material/application areas is preferred; knowledge of intellectual property or patent-related processes is a plus
• Excellent technical presentation and communication skills, with fluent written and spoken English
