Associate Technical Account Manager

At 3Shape, we are looking for an Associate Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our Lab Key Accounts team in Copenhagen. As a TAM, you will serve as the primary technical contact for our enterprise lab customers, helping them get the most from 3Shape’s products and services.

This is not a traditional support role. You will work proactively to stabilize and scale customers’ IT environments, manage technical relationships, solve complex issues, guide software integrations, and advocate for customers internally. The role supports recurring revenue growth and helps strengthen 3Shape’s position as a trusted partner in digital dentistry.

You will work closely with Product, Sales, Support and Academy to deliver a strong customer experience.

This role reports to the Director, Head of Lab Key Accounts Region Europe and is based at our Copenhagen headquarters by Kongens Nytorv. The position also requires 30-50% travel for onsite meetings, customer engagements and industry events.

About 3Shape’s Lab Business

3Shape’s Lab business develops digital solutions that help dental laboratories work more efficiently across their workflows. Our portfolio includes Dental System™, lab scanners, LMS integrations, TRIOS® workflows and services such as Design Service.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise customer relationships: Act as the main technical contact for enterprise dental labs, building strong relationships and working closely with lab teams and their IT providers.

• Upgrades & technical readiness: Review hardware specifications, server/client setups and scanner compatibility, and coordinate larger upgrades across Lab Organizations, Dental System and Cloud Dongle.

• Infrastructure & integrations: Help customers establish scalable technical setups for 3Shape software and maintain an overview of LMS/ERP integrations, cross-lab workflows and new lab onboarding.

• Technical support & troubleshooting: Use strong knowledge of dental lab workflows and 3Shape Lab solutions to solve complex product, network and installation issues. Guide customers through upgrades, feature adoption and new workflow implementations. Support field engineers and technicians, and feed technical input back to R&D.

• Proactive issue resolution: Identify technical challenges before they impact customers and act as an escalation point, coordinating with Support, Product and customer IT teams when needed. Keep technical product documentation updated as issues are identified and fixed, and build tests and diagnostic tools to catch recurring and potential issues.

• Customer value & product feedback: Support LabCare renewals, seat and scanner expansions, and adoption of new workflows, while bringing customer feedback and real-world dental lab use cases back into 3Shape.

• Collaboration: Coordinate across internal teams and participate in QBRs to connect technical initiatives with outcomes such as uptime, throughput and ROI.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional background in dentistry or dental technology, ideally with hands-on experience as a dental technician or working in dental laboratories and digital dental workflows

• Relevant education, preferably in dentistry or a related field. Education in engineering, IT, computer science or similar is also relevant when combined with strong dental industry experience

• Deep, hands-on understanding of 3Shape Lab products, services and integrated workflows

• Experience in enterprise technical account management, customer success, technical project management or a similar customer-facing technical role

• Strong knowledge of IT architecture, including server/client networking, databases and cloud migrations

• Experience with CRM systems and project management software

• Understanding of subscription or renewal-based business models, including SaaS or enterprise software, and how technical adoption supports recurring revenue

• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business outcomes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, relationship-focused and customer-centric approach

• Ability to manage multiple enterprise projects and accounts simultaneously, prioritize effectively and track progress and metrics

• Familiarity with ERP/LIS systems or complex IT integrations
