A Day in the Life

This role serves as the regional growth engine for the Spine business across the Nordics, Greece and Israel, ensuring Medtronic fully captures opportunities to expand procedure adoption, strengthen strategic customer partnerships, accelerate market penetration and increase market share across the Spine portfolio. Through strategic account development, university hospital engagement, therapy adoption initiatives and commercial growth programs, the position plays a critical role in driving market leadership and sustainable profitable growth for the CST business.

The Regional Business Development Lead, Spine is responsible for accelerating growth across the NoGI region by driving strategic commercial initiatives, expanding adoption of Medtronic's Spine portfolio, and developing sustainable growth opportunities within key customers and leading academic institutions. Reporting directly to the Regional Business Director, this role acts as the regional commercial leader for Spine, partnering with country leadership teams to develop and execute growth strategies that increase procedure volumes, strengthen customer partnerships, improve competitive positioning and drive market share expansion. A key priority of the role is to build strategic partnerships with university hospitals, Centres of Excellence and key opinion leaders, while accelerating adoption of innovative Spine technologies and expanding Medtronic's presence within strategic accounts and Focus Growth Accounts across the region. The role combines business development, commercial strategy, market development, strategic account leadership and sales enablement to maximize growth and reinforce Medtronic's leadership position in Spine.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

·Develop and execute regional growth strategies for the Spine business across NoGI, identifying and advancing priority opportunities in key accounts, Focus Growth Accounts and strategic growth segments.

·Partner with country leaders and commercial teams to build account development plans and drive procedure growth, therapy adoption, market share expansion and long-term customer commitment.

·Lead regional initiatives to accelerate adoption of innovative Spine technologies, procedural solutions and newly launched products through targeted commercial and clinical programs.

·Drive strategic business development within major university hospitals, teaching institutions, Centres of Excellence and high-potential healthcare systems across the region.

·Build and maintain strong relationships with spine surgeons, key opinion leaders, academic institutions and clinical champions to support market development, evidence generation and customer advocacy.

·Identify market opportunities, competitive conversion opportunities and unmet customer needs, translating insights into actionable growth initiatives and business development programs.

·Support development and execution of strategic account plans, including executive stakeholder engagement, customer partnership development and long-term account growth strategies.

·Analyze market and competitive trends, support market access and reimbursement initiatives, and equip commercial teams with the tools, training and best practices needed to accelerate growth and improve execution.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

·Bachelor's degree or master's degree or equivalent; in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, Healthcare Management or a related field preferred.

·Significant experience in medical technology, healthcare, or a related industry.

·Proven success in business development, strategic account management, commercial leadership, sales leadership, or senior sales roles.

·Strong understanding of the Spine market, therapy adoption, healthcare decision-making processes, and complex hospital stakeholder environments.

·Experience supporting product launches, market development initiatives, commercial growth programs and strategic account expansion activities.

·Demonstrated ability to work across multiple countries and cultures in a matrix organization while influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally.

·Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, customer focus, and ability to lead with accountability, collaboration and adaptability in complex environments.

·Proven ability to translate market opportunities into executable growth plans that drive revenue, market share and customer adoption.
