Company overview:
3YOURMIND is a deep tech company at the intersection of software, manufacturing, and defense. Our solutions enable the decentralized production of critical parts using technologies such as 3D printing and CNC machining, directly where they are needed. Our software connects digital inventories, production systems, and logistics workflows, enabling parts to be identified, produced, and deployed within hours rather than weeks. By digitizing supply chains and enabling production close to the point of use, we help build more resilient, adaptive, and faster innovation cycles - from the battlefield to industrial applications. We are now entering the next phase: evolving from a software provider into a full solution and ecosystem player across hardware, software, and manufacturing networks.
Your role:
As we expand our activities in Ukraine, we are looking for a Technical & Field Engineerwho will become our technical point of contact on the ground and help us turn distributed manufacturing capabilities into reliable day-to-day operations.
This is not a traditional service-engineer position. You will work across field engineering, additive manufacturing, CAD, technical documentation, supplier development, training, and deployment support.
You will connect our European engineering and product teams with local partners and manufacturing environments in Ukraine, helping us understand what is happening on the ground, identify technical gaps early, and translate operational requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
Location: Ukraine. Regular travel within Ukraine and to Poland/EU
Your responsibilities:
- Own technical execution on the ground:act as 3YOURMIND’s local technical interface for Ukrainian projects. Visit deployment locations, evaluate technical readiness, support installations and commissioning, identify risks, and ensure that issues observed in the field are translated into clear actions for relevant internal or external teams
- Support the full journey from requirement to manufacturable part:work with local users and partners to understand operational requirements, evaluate available technical information, and help turn real-world needs into structured engineering inputs that can move through an on-demand manufacturing workflow
- Develop and improve CAD data and technical data packages: support CAD-related work, improve existing technical information, and help create robust Technical Data Packages that allow parts to be manufactured consistently across different production environments. This connects directly to 3YOURMIND’s wider approach of qualifying parts, digitizing part information, and creating reusable digital inventories
- Support additive and distributed manufacturing operations:help evaluate manufacturing approaches, understand local production capabilities, and support the practical implementation of additive manufacturing workflows. Solid engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience with technologies such as FDM or SLA are essential, while advanced industrial AM experience is a strong advantage
- Build technical capability at deployment locations: support recurring training in the field within Ukraine: onboarding operators, reinforcing technical procedures, providing updates, and helping teams become increasingly independent in their daily operations
- Ensure technical quality through the local supplier network:identify and technically assess local manufacturers, engineering companies, and suppliers. Translate project requirements into actionable information, evaluate technical feasibility, and support sourcing decisions to reduce lead times, logistics complexity, and cost. Support site-readiness, assessments, installation acceptance, troubleshooting, and quality checks
- Support continuous improvement through field feedback:document recurring problems, technical limitations, and opportunities observed in the field, communicating them to our hardware, engineering, and product teams. Help standardize technical checklists, acceptance criteria, documentation, and supplier evaluation.
What you bring:
You don’t need to tick every box. We are looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to take ownership in a complex environment. 3YOURMIND will provide additional training on the current and upcoming technologies being utilized in Ukraine.
Ideally, you bring:
- A degree or equivalent practical background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechatronics, production engineering, or a related field
- Strong practical CAD skills and confidence working with technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and engineering data (experience with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor preferred; experience with generative design and reverse engineering through 3D scanning is an advantage)
- Hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to determine missing technical information prior to production
- Practical experience with additive manufacturing technologies such as FDM and/or SLA (industrial AM systems experience is a plus)
- Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, or technical service providers
- Confidence working independently in the field while collaborating with an international, distributed team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between operational users, engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations
- Ability to meet the requirements necessary to work with Ukrainian defense stakeholders and within defense-related environments
- Ability to travel freely between Ukraine and Poland; eligibility to travel within the EU is preferred
- Professional working proficiency in Ukrainian and English.
What will make you stand out:
The ability to demonstrate relevant previous work through a portfolio or concrete project examples, particularly hands-on experience managing operations within an additive manufacturing production facility and/or direct technical experience working in Ukraine.
Mobility requirement:
This is a field-oriented role rather than a desk-only engineering position. You must be able to travel regularly within Ukraine and between Ukraine and the EU, particularly Poland, without restrictions that would prevent you from supporting projects, training, or technical activities when required.
What success looks like:
During your first months, we expect you to develop a strong understanding of our Ukrainian technical landscape and progressively become the person the team can rely on for an accurate picture of what is happening on the ground. Success means that:
- Technical problems are identified earlier
- Deployments become more predictable
- Local suppliers are used more effectively, reducing lead times and logistics costs
- Technical documentation improves
- Operators receive the support they need
- Field knowledge from Ukraine systematically improves how we deploy and scale our manufacturing capabilities.
At 3YOURMIND, you’ll join a truly multinational and distributed team where respect flows across all roles and hierarchies. We thrive on diverse perspectives, remote collaboration, and an environment where every voice is valued, so you can do your best work alongside colleagues from around the globe.
