Chief Technology Officer

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Technology Strategy and Vision:

• Define and own Proofline's overall technology vision, architecture, and long-term technical roadmap.
• Partner closely with the founders to translate the company's product and business vision into technology strategy.
• Identify emerging technologies, particularly across AI, LLMs, knowledge graphs, and intelligent research systems, that can create competitive advantages.
• Make build-vs-buy and technology-stack decisions aligned with product and business objectives.
• Establish engineering principles, technical standards, and architectural direction across the organization.

Engineering Leadership:

• Build, lead, and scale the engineering organization.
• Manage and mentor engineering leaders and senior engineers while creating a culture of ownership, innovation, and execution.
• Define engineering team structures, roles, hiring plans, and career-growth frameworks.
• Own engineering performance, productivity, delivery, and technical quality.
• Establish strong engineering processes around planning, execution, code quality, testing, deployment, and production reliability.

Product and Technical Execution:

• Work closely with Product, AI/Research, Design, and Founders to shape product strategy and roadmap.
• Convert complex product requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Oversee the complete product development lifecycle from 01 development to production scale.
• Ensure timely delivery of critical product initiatives without compromising long-term technical quality.
• Remain sufficiently hands-on to guide critical technical decisions, architecture reviews, and complex engineering challenges.

AI and Platform Architecture:

• Lead the technical direction for Proofline's AI-native.
