Dental Assistant/Receptionist - Maven Dental Hervey Bay

Maven Dental Hervey Bay is seeking a friendly, organised, and patient-focused Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in Urraween.

This role is primarily based at reception, where you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in creating a positive experience. In addition to reception duties, you will provide support with instrument sterilisation and assist the clinical team when required.

The role is based around Monday, Thursday and Saturday availability, with additional shifts available to cover team leave and support practice growth.

Working across both reception and clinical areas, you'll support our clinicians, our patients and the wider team throughout the day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials
• Cleaning and sterilising instruments and maintaining infection control standards
• Supporting patients through their appointment and helping them feel comfortable
• Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional service at reception
• Answering patient enquiries in person and over the phone
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments
• Maintaining accurate patient records and completing general administrative tasks

What you'll bring:

• Previous dental assisting or dental reception experience (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to work well as part of a team in a busy practice
• A caring and professional approach to patient care
• A genuine willingness to learn, with the confidence to pick things up quickly across both clinical and reception areas

Maven Dental Hervey Bay is an established practice in Urraween, caring for patients from across Hervey Bay and the wider Fraser Coast.

Our team looks after a broad mix of patients, from children's check-ups and general dentistry through to restorative and cosmetic treatment, as well as emergency appointments during clinic hours. You have the chance to get to know regular patients.
