The Position
The position of Sales Representative (m/w/d) CM, Region Essen, Leverkusen, Oberhausen, Bochum, Dortmund, Magdeburg is within our Cardiometabolic Business Unit located at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics GmbH, Cologne.
The role focusses on developing key accounts for Abbott’s products and services in partnership with other business functions. You will implement national strategies for new and existing products and services, including mapping out and building stakeholder relationships. This requires the ability to ‘sell’ all of the company’s products and services across especially the Secondary Care sectors.
The Sales Representative (m/f/d) is expected to lead and initiate projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives.
Your Tasks:
- Development of markets and customers (especially new hired customers), achieving sales targets, providing general customer service in the various areas of responsibility
- Responsibility for the development and execution of the Abbott product portfolio within the area, including the Infectious Diseases, Cardiometabolic and Toxicology product portfolios with a key focus to the business unit’s products
- Proposal preparation for customers as well as completion of contracts
- Ability to articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business with customers of national significance
- Monitor and report on competitive activities
Your Qualification:
- Primary degree in BA or equivalent work experience in the field of diagnostics
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive people relationships and build strong links with all customers
- At least 3 years’ experience working in Medical Devices or similar environment
- Detailed understanding of the industry
- Ideally experience delivering change initiatives and facilitating change in a customer focused organization
- Ability to think innovatively and not be constrained by current practices
- Experience in working on strategic topics
- Very good German and good English skills
